About New Presidents' Academy
The New Presidents’ Academy, a special leadership opportunity designed for new AASCU presidents and chancellors, is responsive to the needs of the position and the person.
The emphasis of the Academy will be on the establishment of a strong presidential base. It is designed to provide both the know-how and the tools to forge a solid presidency. It will be an intensive, highly focused program, a group of tightly connected topics and experiences. The focus is on the first 500 days, developing and enhancing skills that will carry participants through their presidential career.
Eligibility
Presidents and chancellors at AASCU member institutions who are serving
in this capacity for the first time and who assumed their presidencies within
the past two years (i.e., since spring 2008).
Registration Information
The registration fee of $1,900 includes all Academy program costs, materials, and meals during the four and a half day program. (This fee is competitive with the comparable programs that are not designed especially for AASCU presidents and chancellors.) Participants are responsible for paying their own travel anhotel costs.
Mail or fax the registration form to AASCU by July 2, 2010 to reserve a space in the 2010 Academy. Registrations are accepted after this date on a space available basis. If you wish to register after July 2, call Chris Bitting at 202.478.4644.
Payment should be submitted to AASCU before the Academy but need not accompany the registration form. Sorry, we cannot accept telephone or e-mail registrations.

Cancellations
Registration: Please advise AASCU immediately if a participant must cancel. Registration fee will be refunded with no cancellation penalty.
